We know about John The Revelator and the scroll he ate in Revelation 10. I had forgotten about Ezekiel. He ate a scroll in Ezekiel 2 and 3 and God gave him a word and a calling on his life.
"Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll. And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you.” So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness. For you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, but to the house of Israel, not to many people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, had I sent you to them, they would have listened to you. But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted."
Ezekiel 3:1-3, 5-7 NKJV
A couple months ago God handed me a scroll and I still don't know what it said. So I asked Daddy God, "What do you want me to say?" He said:
"Tell them I sent you to proclaim liberty to the captives. Recovery of sight to the blind. Healing to the inner chambers of their broken hearts and to know love abounding. I sent you not on your own accord. Don't be foolish but wise as serpents. Lay down your life that I may pick it up and do something with it. Hear Me oh Israel, STAND AND SHOUT IN TRIUMPH FOR THE KING OF THE JEWS JEHOVAH JIREH has come to dwell. Open your eyes. Hear Me. SHOUT WITH A VOICE OF TRIUMPH. IF GOD BE FOR YOU NO MAN CAN HARM YOU. I AM YOUR JEHOVAH. ALL IN ALL. ALL ENCOMPASSING ONE. Bow down in Spirit and in truth. Your redemption, your Risen Savior, Your holier than thou God has flowered the earth for YOU IN GLORY. As you stand and behold the majesty of seeing Heaven fill the earth, lead,lead,lead the charge to a TRIUMPHANT·VICTORIOUS DAY."

Beautiful! Jesus did it first. Isaiah 61. That was why He came. And since we are ONE with Him…Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, He will continue to do and be these same things … in us, yielded vessels.
