I heard very sweetly from the Lord this morning, "She has chosen the better thing."
"In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause."
Psalms 25:1-3 NIV
Mark's account of Mary Magadelene anointing Jesus points out it wasn't just Judas Iscariot thinking she was crazy for doing that. It says "THEY rebuked her harshly." Some of those present were the disciples. In fact, John was the only one who mentioned her by name. Luke explains this phenomena (Luke 7:44-48).
I was preparing for Resurrection Day for my kids and bought a pop up craft. Isn't it interesting Mary Magdalene was the only one included in the scene of the craft? She was also the first person Jesus appeared to after rising from the dead. When she tried to tell the disciples she saw Him, they didn't believe her.
"Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly.
Mark 14:4-5 NIV
Pastor Jay Stewart talked about laying down your life this past Sunday. I think this means listening to the Holy Spirit. God has greater things for you than you can conjure up but if you don't follow Him, you won't see as much of it. I encourage you today that no one who trusts in the Lord will be to shame. Trust Him. He'll take you places you never dreamed.
🎶 Only God Can Judge Me 🎶

Lyrics-
"Zaytoven
Ay, only God can judge me (only God can judge)
Back up, yeah, only God can judge me (only God can judge)
Back, back up, yeah, only God can judge
Made a plan, took a stand
They can judge if they want
I'm just sayin', I ain't playin'
I could flex but I don't
Ay, only God can judge me (only God can judge)
I put God above me
Can't no one send me to heaven
Or send me to hell
They condemn but don't offend me
I'm still in his will
I know, my lane, stay low, no fame
I die, I gain, they laugh, my pain
I know these people gon' judge me
I know they look at me funny
They talk about me so ugly
But I'm still gon' keep it one hundred
Run it up, run it up, run it up, run it all up, all up
Tally up the total put it on us, on us
Let God be the judge
If you lyin' better run
Boy I ride with the Son
So I ain't worry about none
Well you better get up off me, awfully
Saucy, this what daddy bought me
Bear your cross, don't cross me
Only God can judge me (only God can judge)
Ay, only God can judge me (only God can judge)
Back up, yeah, only God can judge me (only God can judge)
Back, back up, yeah, only God can judge
Made a plan, took a stand
They can judge if they want
I'm just sayin', I ain't playin'
I could flex but I don't
Ay, only God can judge me (only God can judge)
I put God above me
I seen it all, people who want you to fall
Find everything you do wrong
What is you on?
Picking apart every song
Tell me what more do you want?
I don't understand it, all this reprimanding
You come be my stand-in
See if you can stand it
I don't really care if you judge me, don't love me
I don't judge myself, I leave that to the lord above me
I talk, you listen
My point, you missed it
I'm on my mission
Don't have to say it, I live it
Don't have to rap it, I'm in it
You never hung with the tenants
Lived in the hood with the killas
I go to prison to witness
This my district, I witness, I live this
You dont even visit, why you in my business?
Only God can judge me (only God can judge)
Ay, only God can judge me (only God can judge)
Back up, yeah, only God can judge me (only God can judge)
Back, back up, yeah, only God can judge
Made a plan, took a stand
They can judge if they want
I'm just sayin', I ain't playin'
I could flex but I don't
Ay, only God can judge me (only God can judge)"
