Elijah ⚡️ Elisha

Many would say we are in a time of Elijah. One being the double anointing that Elijah left to Elisha. The other reasoning I've heard is that the prophets of Baal are openly defying the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Witchcraft is less hidden. In 1 Kings 18, Elijah challenged the false prophets openly with Ahab in attendance. God showed up. We've heard of the Mt. Carmel experience. This is where God won, and the bad guys literally lost their lives.

I started my daily devotional in 1 Kings 18 in August of 2023 and spent an entire month just in that one chapter. It's a long chapter that has a lot to glean from. Our daughter, born just a few week ago in 2024, was named after this Mt. Carmel experience. Her name is Carmen Rain. Just like the great refreshing rain that hit the earth after a 3 year drought in 1 Kings 18, a great refreshing has come to this earth and her birth is symbolic of that.

Her verse is Zechariah 10:1

"Ask the Lord for rain

In the time of the latter rain.

The Lord will make flashing ⚡️ clouds;

He will give them showers of rain,

Grass in the field for everyone."

Although it took Elisha's double anointing to wipe Jezebel out, nevertheless he did. I believe we, right now, are in a time where the spirit of Jezebel will be wiped out. All of the reasons above (the double anointing, false prophets openly mocking God, the spirit of Jezebel dying, and a rain of refreshing that has come to this earth) makes evident that we're living in a time of Elijah.

I wasn't ready to write on this topic until recently. We decided on our daughter's name while I was pregnant. I've known for awhile God has poured out a great refreshing on mankind that will bring in the Billion Soul Harvest that Bob Jones prophesied. But it wasn't until I was studying Malachi 4 that I saw God has already said He would send the spirit of Elijah during the endtimes.

It is true our Lord Jesus could come any time. However, I believe His spotless Bride is about to experience an Isaac and Rebekah moment (Genesis 24:64). We're about to fall off our camels in awe of God! Remember Ecclesiastes 1:9 that says what has been will be, what was done will be done. In other words, the spirit of Elijah was here before, he is coming now, and he'll come again during the Tribulation.

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet

Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

And he will turn

The hearts of the fathers to the children,

And the hearts of the children to their fathers,

Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

Malachi 4:5-6

11 Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. 12 But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them of John the Baptist.

Matthew 17:12

Elijah came in 1 Kings 18, the spirit of Elijah came during the time of John the Baptist, the spirit of Elijah is here now in 2024 and he will come physically back during the Tribulation [Revelation 11].

Though we should always be rapture ready, I'm excited for His Body to experience the greatest exodus from Babylon we've heard of! There was a wealth transfer then. There will be a wealth transfer now. The spirit of Elijah/Elisha is here today! We are under double grace like Zerubbabel had rebuilding the temple [Zechariah 4:7] and like Elisha. We have a refreshing that has come to this earth we have never known where billions will come into His Kingdom. Like Jezebel's physical death, wickedness that has bound so may will be destroyed without even a proper burial. Her own people will turn on her.

Remember the story of Isaac and Rebekah. Rebekah didn't do anything to earn this good fortune of marrying likely the richest man in the region. She was at the right place at the right time. God is orchestrating your win as we speak. He has sent his servant (Holy Spirit) to find you. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom [Luke 12:32]."
